Patent Glazing | Celtic Manor Resort
Design supplied and fitted this seven metre octagonal glazed atrium rooflight (right) the six-floor-high entrance lobby of the Celtic Manor Hotel.
At a cost of £700 million, the Celtic Manor Resort is the largest single private investment project in the UK. As well as the 400 bedroom hotel, the resort boasts a convention centre and three championship golf courses.
The, entrance portico of the hotel was fitted with a large glazed roof above the porte corchere. Measuring seven metres square, the pyramid shaped structure was designed to be self-supporting and we achieved this by concealing purpose-made steel bracketry within the aluminium profiles of our own patent glazing system.
